Snowbeds says

Varied ski area good slope side accommodation varied nightlife.

Great intermediate resort with loads of wide motorway runs.

Huge vertical descent around 2000 m.

Lots of purpose built convenient accommodation.La Plagne is made up of no less than 10 separate villages scattered across a giant and largely gentle plateau alongside a steep mountain.
Four are low-lying traditional farming villages and the rest are purpose-built ski resorts at different altitudes. Belle Plagne and Plagne Centre form the hub of the resort, while Champagny-en-Vanoise and Montchavin are more rural and rich cowshed kitsch.

Paradiski offers huge ski area, but consider whether it is worth the additional cost.

There are many late night bars and video bars with karaoke and concerts for night owls, each with their own atmosphere. In Plagne 1800 the Bar Etoile and Couleur Café are popular and Bar La Nice the most famous, whilst in Plagne Centre the No Blem Café, which sometimes has live music, is the place to be after dark. The Matafan Bar in Belle Plagne has a rustic French ambience and the Lincoln Pub in Plagne Soleil is another good choice. There are of course just a few of the many and later on there are also five discothèques to choose from.

In addition you have the oppurtunity to try 1,500m long Olympic bob run with 19 bends
What others say

From the Telegraph.
"The resort is sometimes described as a giant ski factory on account of how seriously overcrowded the slopes can become during high season. It's an unfair moniker, but do avoid February half term when the nickname is closest to accurate. Otherwise, the volume of apartments and tour operator-catered chalets makes La Plagne a sensible choice for families."
